Ford is bringing modest updates to its 2015 Explorer mid-size SUV, including several new colors and a new sportier model.

The 2015 Ford Explorer XLT will arrive later this month with additional comfort and technology features including heated front seats with suede inserts, an 8-inch color LCD touch screen for the SYNC with MyFord Touch infotainment system, and two 4.2-inch color LCD screens in the gauge cluster.

Additional upgrades for 2015 include standard 18-inch wheels on the base model; a Class III trailer tow package now standard on the Explorer Sport; and three new colors including Bronze Fire Metallic Tinted Clearcoat, Caribou Metallic, and Magnetic Metallic.
