XRS Corporation, a mobile trucking intelligence company, was awarded the top prize in the Mobile Technologies category for the 2013 Tekne Awards. The winners were announced last night at a dinner and awards ceremony hosted by program sponsor, the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA).

“We are grateful to have received top honors at the Tekne Awards and believe this is just the beginning of the mobile revolution in trucking,” said XRS Corporation Chairman and CEO Jay Coughlan. “XRS is proud to be moving our industry forward by providing the solutions both fleet managers and drivers want and need to succeed in all aspects of the business. Recognition from our peers in Minnesota’s high-tech marketplace is both humbling and exciting, and we are eager to share more award-worthy innovations in 2014.”

Launched in March 2013, XRS is the trucking industry’s first and only complete mobile platform for compliance and fleet optimization. The XRS mobile platform runs on many different certified mobile devices and automatically transmits vehicle and operator data through the cloud to a fleet management dashboard, providing compliance with current regulatory standards for electronic recording of a driver’s hours of service.

Established in 2000 and highly coveted among Minnesota companies, the Tekne Awards recognize Minnesota’s best and brightest technology users and developers in innovation, development, education, commercialization and management.
