Truck-lite Co., LLC, a heavy-duty lighting and visibility systems manufacturer, announced that U.S. Xpress Enterprises will make Truck-Lite's new custom LED headlight its factory standard for forward lighting on its fleet's 2014 Freightliner Cascadia truck.
There has been an overwhelmingly positive response from the military with Truck-Lite's LED forward lighting technology, so Truck-Lite applied the same innovative technology for commercial vehicle applications, and its resulting new partnership with U.S. Xpress.
U.S. Xpress will have 1,950 Freightliner Cascadia 2014 models built with Truck-Lite's custom LED headlights in 2014. This standard specification will be applied across their international fleet serving the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
On the 25th anniversary of U.S. Xpress in 2011, founders Max Fuller and the late Patrick Quinn highlighted their company's ongoing commitment to safety, service, and innovative technologies. From working with the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on aerodynamic elements, to achieving the SmartWay Environmental Excellence Award, and now to fostering hand-in-hand safety and service for their employees and customers with Truck-Lite LED forward lighting systems, U.S. Xpress is recognized as an innovative leader for the commercial vehicle industry.
