NexTraq, a GPS fleet and asset tracking solutions company, announced the latest report to be added to its comprehensive solution, the Driver Safety Scorecard. After months of research and development, NexTraq customers are now able to monitor and measure driving actions such as hard braking, quick acceleration, sharp cornering and excessive speeding to make sure their drivers are safe behind the wheel.

The report provides a graphic ranking of best and worst drivers, allowing business owners and fleet managers to identify risky drivers and take proactive actions to teach drivers to be safer behind the wheel. Ultimately, by eliminating aggressive driving from their fleet, businesses can cut down on fuel costs and vehicle wear-and-tear, as well as insurance and potential collision expenses.

Director of Business Development for NexTraq, Steven Payne, comments, “Safety and compliance are a major concern for any fleet manager. NexTraq’s Driver Safety Scorecard provides measurable data that a manager can use to coach drivers for a safer fleet.”

Payne continues, “Fleets spend money on logos and company information to transform their vehicles into moving billboards. Inappropriate driving on the roads can turn that investment into a poor company image. Our driver safety metrics proactively report to a fleet manager events that can, and should, be corrected.”

Mike Scarbrough, CEO of NexTraq, says, “With the release of the Driver Safety Scorecard, NexTraq continues its commitment to providing businesses with the tools they need to run an efficient business. Safety is always a top concern when it comes to fleets, and this new report will help businesses maintain the safest fleet possible.”
