GM and Isuzu have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to start negotiations toward jointly developing a next-generation pickup truck.

This is not the first endeavor the companies have partnered on. The companies' DMAX joint venture includes the production of the Duramax 6.6L V-8, which are available in GM's Chevrolet Silverado and Express, and GMC Sierra and Savana models. The companies also build trucks for the Thailand market.
