WAYNE, NJ - Reflecting the ongoing trend of increasing tire prices, Hankook Tire America Corp. has announced that it will be raising it U.S. commercial tire prices by up to 8 percent. The amount of the increase will vary by product and size. The price changes will go into effect on Nov. 1, 2011.

The company explained the reason behind the increase as related to the high costs of raw materials, energy, and transportation, which has been partially to blame for previous tire price increases by other companies.

In addition to marketing and distributing medium-duty and bus tires, Hankook Tire America Corp. also handles a complete line of high performance and ultra-high performance passenger tires, light truck, and SUV tires. It supplies tires to 400 independent dealers through 3000-plus retail sales locations in the United States.
