STAUNTON, VA - Federated member Motown Automotive celebrated its 40th anniversary on May 13 in grand style by holding an open house and customer appreciation day at its new 115,000 square-foot distribution center in Farmington Hills, Mich.

"It was a great day to celebrate our 40th anniversary and showcase our new corporate distribution center," said Thomas Litzinger, director of sales and marketing for Motown Automotive.  "The most important aspect of this event was to show our customers that we are committed to the aftermarket parts business and dedicated to helping them succeed in a very competitive environment."

Over 250 guests and customers attended the event. Federated's manufacturing partners had 22 booths on site where Motown's customers could learn about their latest offerings, take advantage of special purchases and get the latest technical information. NASCAR driver and Federated spokesman Kenny Schrader and Tom Hessert, driver of the Federated ARCA series car, were on hand at the event and also made some customer calls during the day.

"Our customers loved seeing Kenny and Tom. They were great sports and great representatives of Motown and Federated," said Litzinger. "Overall, it was a wonderful day for everyone involved.  We could not have pulled this event off without the support of our valued customers and our vendors."
