DETROIT - The 2011 Ram 4500/5500 was named Work Truck magazine's Medium-Duty Truck of the Year.

Nineteen vehicles were included in an online ballot and voted on by professional fleet managers, who were asked to consider which medium-duty truck model best fit their fleet requirements, including application effectiveness, durability, quality, servicing, maintenance, and lifecycle costs.

The Ram 4500/5500 is equipped with the Class 4-5 segment's largest standard fuel tank (52 gallons), Dodge Ram 4500/5500 is offered in 4x2, 4x4, dual-rear-wheel, Regular, and Quad Cab configurations. The 6.7L Cummins Turbo Diesel generates 305 hp and 610 ft.-lb. of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed automatic transmission or 6-speed manual transmission — both with Power Take-Off (PTO) capability.
