MIAMI - The Vehicle Production Group LLC (VPG) announced the launch of a new Web site, www.vpgautos.com, which is highly interactive and allows visitors to build and reserve their very own MV-1. The 2011 MV-1 is proudly built in America and production is scheduled to begin in fourth quarter of 2010 at the high-quality assembly plant at AM General LLC in Mishawaka, Ind.

Headquartered in South Florida, VPG is the designer, manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of the first mobility vehicle that was engineered from the ground up for wheelchair accessibility. The vehicle has been aptly named the "MV-1" (the first Mobility Vehicle) and it is the only new vehicle that meets or exceeds the stringent vehicle guidelines of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The MV-1 features a unique deployable access ramp with a 1,200 lb. weight capacity and has an extremely spacious entryway and interior which seats up to six people comfortably. The vehicle interior is large enough to allow wheelchair users or scooter users to easily enter and turn effortlessly so that the passenger can sit next to the driver. The MV-1 utilizes the Ford 4.6L V8 engine and is available with either a traditional gasoline or a compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling system option. The MV-1 is built like a truck, yet it rides like a car. With its incredibly durable body-on-frame vehicle architecture and independent rear suspension, the MV-1 will provide years of dependable and comfortable use.
