JACKSONVILLE, FL - A leader in industrial, mobile and home power solutions, Next Generation Power has added a line of DC Power Units. The Kubota-based, diesel systems are perfect for trucks and other utility vehicles that don't want to idle the main engine, but still need to charge batteries to run hydraulic lift gates, hydraulic ramps on auto carriers or inverters for AC power, according to the manufacturer.

Next Gen can custom-build the state-of-the-art DC Power Units to fit many applications, such as high-output charging for hybrid or electric vehicles.  They're also ideal for main power on RVs that don't have larger AC generators or backup power when a smaller, more efficient unit is needed to charge batteries rapidly.

The advanced systems feature remote start/stop panels, oil pressure and water temperature safety shutdowns and vibration isolation mounts.  Radiator cooling options include mounted or remote with electric fan.

Basic DC Power Unit packages from Next Gen start at $3,295 with a single-cylinder, diesel Kubota engine and a 150-amp, 12-volt alternator.  Measuring 24" H x 24" W x 20" D and weighing 220 lbs., the pictured DC Power Unit pairs a 3-cylinder, 18-hp engine with an economical, 275-amp permanent magnet alternator.  This unit has enough extra power to run hydraulic pumps or other equipment.  It costs $4,495.
