AKRON, OHIO – Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. will temporarily idle commercial truck tire production at its Danville, Va., and Topeka, Kan., plants for two weeks in November and December, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine. The Danville plant will be idled starting on Nov. 8 and Dec. 6, while the Topeka plant will be idled starting on Nov. 3 and Dec. 1.

The Danville factory can produce 11,200 truck tires per day at full capacity, according to Modern Tire Dealer research.
