Continental Gets Ready to Raise Prices on Truck Tires

LOS ANGELES – Continental Tire North America Inc.’s Commercial Vehicle Tire Division will raise prices up to six percent on its Continental, General, Semperit, and private brand truck tires, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine.

The price increases will go into effect Feb. 1, 2008.

The increases are in response to the “unprecedented escalation” of costs for raw materials such as natural rubber, steel, carbon black, and crude oil.
