JERSEY CITY, N.J. – Telargo, Inc., a provider of mobile asset management solutions, has added a new Hours of Service (HoS) module to its fleet management solution. Telargo’s HoS module will provide real-time driver status management, detailed historical route and event analysis, and real-time alert for compliance with regulations. This HoS module has been customized for the specific HoS regulations placed on transportation industry drivers and motor carriers in the U.S. market.

According to Telargo, this solution will help to maximize fleet productivity, reduce operational expenses, and enforce compliance with regulations initiated by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

The FMCSA’s HoS regulations are intended to provide drivers with enough time to sleep and rest while meeting their operational requirements. In order to document HoS, drivers are required to keep records of duty that track detention, unloading, and driving time. Telargo’s HoS solution is fully integrated into the Telargo Control Center and has the ability to manage, track, and archive hours of service records electronically.

Key features of Telargo’s HoS solution include:

  • Real-time status management.
  • Driver record display.
  • Detailed analysis tool of historical trip and events.
  • Secure and flexible access to driver records.
  • Real-time alerts of impending violations to both drivers and fleet managers.
  • Comprehensive messaging.

Telargo’s mobile asset management includes tools for vehicle monitoring, expense management, workflow automation, enterprise reporting, customer service, and other specially tailored business solutions.
