BOISE, IDAHO – Allied Waste is fully converting its garbage-hauling and recycling fleet to B-20 biodiesel fuel, according to the Web site www.idahostatesman.com. Clean-burning fuel is especially important at a time of frequent air-quality alerts in the Treasure Valley, Idaho, the company said.

“This conversion is the culmination of an incremental approach that began five years ago — one that we’ve pursued deliberately and methodically to ensure cost-effectiveness for taxpayers and environmental benefits for the community,” Allied Waste General Manager Dave Fisher said, according to www.idahostatesman.com. “With every Allied Waste truck in both Ada and Canyon County now using biodiesel fuel, the overall impact will be significant.”
