OKLAHOMA CITY, OK – It wasn’t until last year that Todd Christensen, a recycling rate manager for Waste Management of Oklahoma City, began adding Freightliner Business Class M2 106 trucks to his fleet. Christensen’s division of Waste Management Inc. operates five Freightliner Business Class M2 106 trucks with Stand-Up Right-Hand Drive (SURHD). He currently has three additional Business Class M2 trucks with SURHD on order, and plans on purchasing more each year until their 24-vehicle fleet is comprised completely of Business Class M2 trucks with SURHD.

Used for refuse, recycling, and other specialized medium-duty applications, Freightliner Business Class M2 trucks with SURHD utilize an upright unit on the right side of the cab. Drivers can operate the truck from both a standing position as well as from a seated position on the left-hand side during longer commutes. This configuration provides operational flexibility and maximum maneuverability.
