COLUMBUS, IN – Cummins Inc.’s 2007 clean and fuel-efficient on-highway engines are available in Class 8 tractors, which meet requirements for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s SmartWay-designated highway tractors, part of the U.S. EPA SmartWay Transport Partnership (www.epa.gov/smartway). Cummins ComfortGuard auxiliary power unit also assists carriers in meeting SmartWay membership requirements and can be specified in a SmartWay Class 8 tractor.

Cummins 2007 on-highway engines, which power Class 8 tractors, include the ISX, ISM, and ISL. The engines are certified and compliant to the 2007 EPA requirements. Cummins engines can be purchased in SmartWay-eligible Class 8 tractors from International, Volvo, Kenworth, and Peterbilt.
