BOISE, ID – Idaho’s Governor C.L. “Butch” Otter signed legislation HB 38 into law on Feb. 21, providing for permanent registration for trailers and semi-trailers in the state. This new law, supported by the Truck Renting and Leasing Association (TRALA) will result in cost savings for owners of trailers and semi-trailers.

The law will also protect owners from citations and the need for temporary trip permits resulting from expired trailer registrations. Thanks to the Idaho Trucking Association for its successful work in securing the enactment of HB 38 into law. For more information, contact TRALA’s Tom James at tjames@trala.org or (703) 299-9120.
