Oklahoma Gas & Electric (OG&E) was recently recognized for its efforts in going green with two awards. In addition to being the first in the state to launch wind and solar power, the utility began deploying electric vehicles (EVs) in its fleet, and installed EV charging infrastructure in its service area.

Nonprofit organization Keep Oklahoma Beautiful presented OG&E with the Vanguard Award for embracing cutting-edge technologies and concepts in support of sustainable energy and a clean planet.

Cogent Reports surveyed nearly 55,000 residential electric, natural gas, and combination utility customers for the 130 largest U.S. utility companies. OG&E was among the thirty-two utilities recognized by Cogent and Market Strategies International for their exceptional dedication to the environment.
