Blue Star Gas has signed on as one of 20 sponsors ot Alliance AutoGas' Coast-to-Coast Clean Air Ride where a Ford F-150 running on propane will make a cross-country trip to highlight the benefits of propane autogas.

Blue Star Gas joins 19 additional sponsors, including Alliance AutoGas, a national consortium of propane suppliers, the American Lung Association of the Southeast, Inc., and other Clean Cities Coalitions.

The truck will make a 5,300-mile trip as part of Alliance AutoGas' Coast-to-Coast Clean Air Ride, and it will visit 12 cities in an effort to educate fleet managers about propane autogas.

The trip will commence on May 2 in Kansas City, Kans. The Ford F-150 will also make stops in Seattle, Wash., Phoenix, Ariz., and Salt Lake City, Utah for presentations that will highlight the millions of gasoline gallons displaced by Blue Star Gas, one of Alliance AutoGas’ founding members

“Air quality is a top priority in these areas and our customers are helping to eliminate harmful emissions,” said Darren Engle, director of government relations for Blue Star Gas. “In these three cities combined our fleet customers displace 2.8 million gallons of gasoline per year and eliminate more than 4,400 tons of greenhouse gases. Clean air is of the upmost importance and we’re excited to help tell that story in our market.”
