Commercial Truck Registrations Rise 12 Percent

Commercial and government fleets added 350,837 trucks in classes 3-8 through the first half of 2015 for a 12.1 percent increase from the comparable period a year ago, according to IHS Automotive's second quarter commercial vehicle report.

Fleet Sales Rise 15 Percent In August

Sales of vehicles to commercial fleets from nine vehicle manufacturers rose 15 percent to 50,552 units in August in part due to a surge in passenger-car purchases, according to Automotive Fleet data.

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is offering $2.5 million in grant funding for public and private fleets to improve vehicle efficiency. Fleets with operations in the 10-county Dallas-Fort Worth ozone non-attainment area can apply.

Calif. Awards 2,000th Alt-Fuel Truck Voucher

California has handed out 2,000 vouchers to fleets to fund hybrid and battery-electric zero-emission trucks and buses under a grant program overseen by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), the board has announced.

PG&E Donates Plug-In Truck to Napa
