Terex Utilities adds the new Hi-Ranger LT Series Backyard Carriers to its product offering. These new models offer the same truck-mounted, telescoping aerial device features and benefits that Terex customers are accustomed to in the LT Series, now mounted on a Backyard Carrier platform. Models in this Series include the LT38P and the LT40P.

The LT38P has a working height of 41.0 ft (12.5 m) and a horizontal reach of 27.0 ft (8.2 m), and the LT40P boasts a working height of 43.0 ft (13.1 m) and a horizontal reach of 26.6 ft (8.1 m). Both models have platform capacities of up to 350 lb (159.0 kg), achieve a Category "C" rating per ANSI 92.2, have hydraulic platform leveling and are designed with a full-pressure, open-center hydraulic system.

Terex LT Series Backyard Carriers are mounted on a hydraulic track drive platform with skid steer capabilities. These models' narrow profile allows them to easily pass through a 36-in gate. Weighing 9,820 lb (4,454 kg), the lightweight footprint of the Backyard Carriers enable these models to traverse sensitive turf and developed surfaces.

The LT Series Backyard Carriers come standard with fully hydraulic radial outriggers, a front cargo area for transporting supplies and a removable boom rest for extra bed space when moving transformers. Options on these units include a dual axle, tiltbed trailer with electric or surge brakes and a carrier recover winch package.

The Terex HyPowerTM Hybrid System is an available option for these models. The HyPower System allows operators to save fuel, reduce noise and increase efficiency, plus it has been optimized for the utility industry - making it significantly easier for utility operations to "go green."
