Orders of Classes 5-7 vehicles slipped for the second consecutive month in July with a 1-percent decline from June and a 4-percent decline from a year ago, reports ACT Research.

Orders of trucks, RVs, and buses came in at 15,300 units for the month, as orders "remained in the doldrums," said Kenny Vieth, ACT's president and senior analyst.

"Some of this decline is attributable to seasonality," said Vieth. "When seasonally adjusted, July's medium duty orders rise to 17,600 units, up 4 percent from June."
