The GMC Sierra 1500 pickup will see several exterior styling updates for 2016, including a significantly reworked front end and new C-shaped LED daytime running lights, General Motors has announced.

The announcement comes on the heels of styling updates for the 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, GMC's sister truck. The Sierra will arrive in SLT, Denali, and All Terrain trim levels.

The 2016 Sierra is getting a more aggressive front grille from the 2015 model; LED headlights; new front fascia and grilles for each trim level; new LED fog lamps; new bumpers; and new C-shaped LED taillights.

The new Sierra will be available in the fourth quarter. GM will provide additional details and information on the new model in the coming months.
