The new Reading CSV.

The new Reading CSV.

Reading Truck Body, LLC now offers its next-generation Classic Service Van (CSV), a lightweight, corrosion-resistant aluminum service body. The CSV body comes in two models, CSV57 and CSV75, each of which is more than 50 percent lighter than comparable steel bodies, according to the company. Reading said it designed the body with a universal understructure for Ford and GM cutaway chassis applications.

According to Reading, the new CSV uses welded design constr4uction and uses aluminum alloy and extrusions throughout the body, including the load space floor. The new model is 210 lbs. lighter than previous versions of the CSV. In addition, Reading ran the aluminum construction in the body through the company’s E-Coat and powder coat process.

Other features on the new CSV include a seamless wheelhouse panel, a shuttle panel pass through, a flush-mount floor to threshold channel, Reading’s hidden hinge technology with recessed and concealed hardware, LED lighting, and a standard 10-year limited warranty.

Reading offers optional security systems for the body, including a master locking system or the company’s Reading Latch-Matic system. The company also offers different packages for vocational markets.
