Fla. Utility JEA is sending out reinforcements to help utilities recover after severe storms hit the Southeast.
According to News 4 JAX, the utility sent five "troubleshooters" with service trucks to Tallahassee (Fla.) after the city's utility reported approximately 30,000 customers did not have power. JEA sent eight four-man crews to Electric Cities in Georgia after it was hit with a deadly storm that has claimed at least 18 lives, according to CNN.
These efforts are part of a mutual aid agreement between companies in the region. WXTL reports that utilities from Ocala, Kissimmee, and Jacksonville Beach also sent crews to Tallahassee for support.
