A City of Miami (Okla.) utility bucket truck was stolen from the Miami Utilities Operations Center on Jan. 22 and later used in a high-speed chase.

The suspect, Robert Dayton Lusk, apparently entered the operations center at 4:30 a.m., filled a big white utility truck with copper wires and tools, and then drove away. One of the crew foreman who noticed the missing truck around 8 a.m. said the gate to the center had been open to the facility because crews had been responding to a power outage call earlier in the morning.

According to the Miami News-Record, Lusk was allegedly seen driving the vehicle and was chased from Highway 10 to the old Miami Country Club and golf course area where he left the vehicle and fled on foot.

Lusk was arrested and the truck was returned to the Utilities Operating Center.
