DISH Network Corp. will soon be greening up its vehicle lineup. Back in March, DISH announced its plans to roll out 200 ROUSH CleanTech propane autogas-fueled Ford E-250 cargo vans in its fleet in 2013.

DISH provided a quick update on this propane initiative and said the rollout will start this fall. The company added that the vans will be located at 10 DISH service facilities across five metro areas, including Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and will support its residential and commercial customer service operations.

The new propane autogas-powered vehicles are expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 12.5 million lbs. over the lifetime of the fleet’s operation when compared with gasoline-powered counterparts.

DISH had also announced in March that it plans to install refueling stations at each of the company’s initial deployment locations.

DISH currently operates a fleet of approximately 4,500 vans nationwide and was No. 82 on Automotive Fleet’s Top 300 Commercial Fleets listing for 2013.
