Cummins dealers on July 7 are expected to begin replacing the engine control modules in 21 2016 model-year Terex Front Discharge Mixer trucks as part of a safety recall, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The trucks, manufactured from March 31 to May 9 of this year, are each equipped with a Cummins ISX12 or ISX15 engine. The engine control modules (ECMs) may experience an internal electrical short that can cause a fuse to blow, resulting in an unexpected engine stall without the ability to restart the engine, NHTSA said.

Cummins dealers will replace the ECMs free of charge.

Truck owners can reach Cummins customer service at (800) 343-7357 or Terex customer service at (800) 433-6691.
