A fleet safety executive with Lytx Inc., Del Lisk, has joined the National Private Truck Council Institute Board of Governors.

Lisk, vice president of safety services for Lytx, was named to the board because of his expertise on driver safety education and training.

NPTC is devoted exclusively to the interests of the private corporate trucking fleet industry. Lisk serves as Lytx’s chief safety and training liaison for the company’s more than 1,300 clients.

Lisk earned his Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) credential from NPTC in 2013.

“NPTC represents a cross-section of American manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and public service organizations ranging in size from family-owned small businesses and town utility fleets, to Fortune 500 global conglomerates,” said Gary Petty, president and CEO of the National Private Truck Council. “We are honored to have someone like Del serve on the Board of Governors and we look forward to the insights he will provide with his impressive background and expertise in driver training and safety.”

The Board of Governors oversees the education, driver training and certification services of NPTC, including policy advisement and financial fundraising. Driver training and certification are offered through the NPTC’s educational subsidiary, the NPTC Institute, which is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) educational and charitable corporation.

“Del is an excellent fit to serve on the National Private Truck Council’s Board of Governors to provide insight on driver safety education and advise training policies,” said Brandon Nixon, Lytx chairman and CEO. “With more than 30 years of experience in professional driver training and education, he has reviewed data and video from thousands of driving events and analyzed myriad traffic collisions to help our clients achieve significant cost savings and a dramatic increase in safety.”
