NEENAH, WI - J. J. Keller & Associates, Inc., an industry leader  helping customers with safety and compliance issues since 1953, educated more than 10,000 transportation professionals on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's CSA 2010 initiative. Through various types of events, including webcasts and live events, J. J. Keller's team of over 30 experts have kept transportation professionals updated on the latest developments, what they can expect, and timelines for the rollout of the CSA 2010 initiative.

"The bottom line is that carriers cannot begin preparing for CSA 2010 until they understand it," said Betty Weiland, Transportation Editorial Manager at J. J. Keller.  "Once they understand it they can begin preparing for it by training their employees and drivers, tracking and analyzing roadside inspection data, auditing driver files, checking vehicle maintenance records, monitoring their SafeStat data and more. "

Transportation professionals see the importance of educating themselves on CSA 2010 as the first step in preparing for the initiative.  In a live poll of nearly 2,000 transportation professionals, 72 PERCENT of respondents said that they plan to participate in additional training and seek out further information to broaden their understanding of CSA 2010 while only 6 percent said they did not plan to participate in additional training.

Weiland said, "CSA 2010 is a new and evolving program that requires continual monitoring by carriers so that they are prepared for what is coming and when. CSA 2010 is coming, regardless of the delays, so carriers can't afford to put it on the back burner any longer."
