Trucks Continue to Show Slow Depreciation

This week’s Black Book Market Insights report looks at the truck segments that are picking up less weekly depreciation compared with cars, signaling that summer is fast approaching. 

Volume-weighted, overall truck segment (including pickup, SUVs and vans) values decreased by 0.28%
last week, slightly better than the average weekly decrease of 0.34% in values over the previous two
weeks. In addition, mid-size crossover/SUV and Compact Van segments declined the most by 0.58% and 0.54%, respectively, according to Anil Goyal, Senior Vice President of Automotive Valuation and Analytics for Black Book.
