Garmin International's dēzl 580 LMT-S is a navigation device for trucks, offering built in- Wi-Fi for updates and a suite of commercial solutions that can include hours of service compliance

The dēzl 580 LMT-S features a 5-inch display, customizable truck routing for the size and weight of a truck and the truck specific navigation features found throughout the dēzl product line, including bridge heights and steep grades.

When truck drivers wirelessly connect the dēzl 580 LMT-S to the Garmin ELD, important hours of service can be seen on the navigator’s display.

The dēzl 580 LMT-S can also receive real-time data when wirelessly connected to a driver’s smartphone using the free Smartphone Link mobile app. Once paired, the driver can use a wide range of features from free live traffic to weather forecasts. Text messages and calendar reminders can appear right on the navigation display allowing drivers to stow their phones away, with their eyes focused ahead and their hands on the steering wheel.

The new Dispatch and Track entry-level truck monitoring solution allows business owners and dispatchers to send text messages and addresses to their drivers with the option to track their routes to completion. Drivers can also benefit from Bluetooth technology for hands-free calling through the navigator’s amplified speakers to make it easy to hear information over loud road noise.

Voice-activated navigation allows truckers to control the navigator with their voice while their hands remain on the steering wheel. Spoken Garmin Real Directions add navigational cues with recognizable landmarks, buildings, and traffic lights to help guide truck drivers to their destination.

Preloaded with maps of North America, the dēzl 580 LMT-S offers free lifetime map updates. The navigation device is compatible with the Garmin BC 30 wireless backup camera so drivers can see what is happening behind the truck when in reverse.
