Eco-flaps splash guards allow air and water to pass through, decreasing the amount of drag, and direct water downward. The wide horizontal ribs have been removed to reduce wind resistance and improve fuel efficiency.

Eco-flaps feature molded, aerodynamic channels to allow air and water to move through the flap surface which reduces drag and can improve fuel economy by up to 3.5 percent. Using these molded channels, air and water eventually flow to a dead-air zone on the back of the guard where they fall to the road surface. This action reduces excessive road spray compared with a more conventional mud flap design. The Eco-flaps design also directs water spray to the pavement rather than into passing or trailing vehicles.

Eco-flaps are made of a high-impact nylon designed to improve the durability of the flap. Eco-flaps are available in 24-by-24, 24-by-27, 24-by-30 and 24-by-36 inch sizes.
