Reading Truck Group Closes Acquisition of Three PalFleet Sites

March 14, 2017

Reading Truck Group announced that it closed the acquisition of four upfitting facilities from PalFleet Truck Equipment Company effective March 9, 2017, pursuant to a previously executed purchase agreement. The four facilities acquired are Nashville, Tenn.; Louisville, Ky.; Council Bluffs, Iowa; and Indianapolis. With these additions, the number of Reading distribution and upfitting facilities has increased to 13 facilities in 11 states.

PalFleet is currently in the process of shutting down its operations at its Louisville, Ky., site, which it expects to complete within 60 days. Upon completion of the shut down, Reading plans to acquire the PalFleet Louisville facility and certain associated tangible assets, as well as assume remaining customer commitments associated with the site. Reading will continue to serve the work truck upfit and distribution business in the area through its existing Louisville operation.
