2014 marks the 55th Anniversary of Snugtop, manufacturer of truck caps and tonneau covers that was founded in 1959. It also marks the 25th anniversary of Hartmut W. Schroeder’s ascendancy to the presidency of the Long Beach, Calif.-based company.

While 55 years does not quite have the cache of a 50th Anniversary, it does lend itself to a fun promotion that is a take-off on the “Speed Limit 55” signs that grace many of the nation’s highways. The “NO LIMIT” part of the equation stems from Snugtop’s reputation for developing unique designs and obtaining patents for engineering innovations.

The company’s new “Outback” model is the first topper designed for consumers with Suburban-style rear doors. According to Snugtop president Schroeder, “We designed the doors with a 60/40 split to provide easy access to cargo. The Outback has been well received by outdoor enthusiasts, who see it as an ideal way to carry and secure sporting gear.”
