IMPCO Automotive has received certification from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to install its bi-fuel compressed natural gas (CNG) systems in a trio of General Motors trucks, including the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, and Chevrolet Tahoe 1500.

IMPCO's bi-fuel CNG conversion consists of its adaptive calibration technology that ensures a robust and durable product for the end user, while maximizing the efficiency of the CNG, according to the company. The converted vehicles feature the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 direct-injected engine.

IMPCO, which is General Motors' primary alternative fuel system supplier in North America, also offers bi-fuel CNG conversions for GM's 2500/3500 truck series and the Ford F-250.
