Michelin announced that it is expanding the MICHELIN DEFENDER LTX M/S tire line with more than 30 new tire sizes, extending the DEFENDER promise to deliver category-leading durable tread life to even more light-duty trucks and SUVS. The tire is now available for nearly 75% percent of the light-truck vehicles on the road today.

Released last summer, the DEFENDER LTX M/S with EverTread combines durable tread life and all-weather traction in a single tire that is designed to better meet the higher-torque demands of modern light trucks and SUVs. With the EverTread compound, the DEFENDER LTX M/S tire lasts 10 percent longer in severe conditions than its predecessor.

The DEFENDER LTX M/S combines stronger, advanced tread compounds that hold up in tougher conditions even longer and deliver improved gravel wear, all-season confidence, and better fuel efficiency. The result is prolonged safety and performance for vehicle owners in a range of tough conditions.

DEFENDER LTX M/S tires are offered with a 50,000- to 70,000-mile warranty. The DEFENDER LTX M/S is now available to consumers through more than 10,000 authorized dealer locations across North America. The tire is offered in 71 sizes that range from 15-inch to 22-inch rim diameters at a starting retail price of $154.
