Pirelli Tire North America Inc. is recalling approximately 8,000 size  LT235/80R17 light truck tires, which are primarily used on large pickup trucks  and SUVs.

The tires, all Load Range E, were built between Jul. 11, 2005, and Oct. 30, 2007, at Pirelli facilities in Brazil, according to Modern Tire Dealer magazine.

“Under adverse service conditions, the tires may experience partial tread separation caused by higher than normal operating temperatures and extreme loads,” said Pirelli officials. “There have been no reported accidents involving personal injury with this tire.”
