ARI, a leading global fleet services provider specializing in complex car and truck fleets, together with its parent company Holman Automotive Group, was proud to donate $50,000 to the American Red Cross to support the on-going efforts to support those who were affected by Superstorm Sandy. The leadership of both companies joined the leadership of the American Red Cross on December 12, 2012 at an official check presentation at ARI.

“So many people continue to be affected by the devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy,” said Mindy K. Holman, President and CEO of Holman Automotive. “The American Red Cross has played such a critical role helping those who lost so much due to the storm, and we hope that this donation will support the important work that still needs to be done to ensure our communities come back stronger than ever before.” Holman also thanked the employees of Holman Automotive and ARI, who made donations to the American Red Cross and contributed food, blankets, clothing, pet food and other critical supplies that went directly to those in need.

“The severity and magnitude of this storm was like nothing our area has ever experienced before,” said ARI President Carl A. Ortell. “I am proud but not surprised at how our employees rallied together when they saw the enormous need created by Hurricane Sandy, even those who were faced with dealing with the storm’s aftermath themselves. As the clean-up continues and the rebuilding begins, our commitment to helping those in need remains constant, and we will continue to seek out ways to help those who have been affected by this historic storm.”

An emphasis on community service and giving back were critically important to Holman Automotive’s founder, Steward Holman, and those same beliefs continue to influence and direct the values by which the organization operates today. From volunteering with community organizations to raising funds to support a multitude of local, regional and national causes, the employees and leadership of Holman Automotive and ARI seek to have a positive impact on those communities that support them. In addition to supporting the American Red Cross and donating critically needed supplies, many of Holman’s and ARI’s employees continue to volunteer to help clean up those communities especially hard hit by the storm.
