XL Hybrids, Inc. is showing service trucks for linen supply fleet AmeriPride at the Work Truck Show that integrate the company's XL3 Hybrid Electric Drive system with a Ford F-59 stripped chassis.

AmeriPride, a uniform rental and linen supply company, has already implemented XL Hybrid technology into other fleets within the comapany, with the F-59 vehicles being the latest addtion. AmeriPride's XL3 vehicles have driven more than 200,000 cumulative hybrid road miles, which has equated to over 3,000 gallons of fuel saved and over 30 metric tons of carbon-dioxide avoided.

“AmeriPride is implementing a variety of sustainability programs across North America including alternative fuel vehicles, heat reclamation systems in the plants, solar power, mat and paper recycling, water conservation and more,” said Banny Allison, fleet manager at AmeriPride Services.

AmeriPride uses its F-59 trucks for uniform rental and linen supply services in North American metropolitan markets. The vehicle has payloads that exceed 15,000 pounds.

The new AmeriPride hybrid F-59 truck will be featured at the NTEA Work Truck Show.
