NexTraq is offering a new global satellite GPS asset tracking device. This device works solely with satellite technology and is not dependent on any mobile network, enabling NexTraq customers to track anything, anywhere, according to the company.

“We continue to develop new solutions that are truly useful for our customer base. The new satellite tracking device is a practical solution for tracking assets in areas where finding a strong cell signal can be an issue,” explains Mike Scarbrough, CEO of NexTraq. “While cellular networks continue to expand, we understand that the needs of our customers require tracking assets in every corner of the world and we have to ensure they have the most reliable solution available.”

This new device can work in applications where fleets have assets in remote locations, such as oil fields, barges, and rural areas. The NexTraq Satellite Tracking device is safe for use in Class I, Division 1 environments with combustible atmospheres, as well. The design of the new satellite tracking device allows for quick and easy installation and field management, the company stated. The company added that by utilizing off-the-shelf batteries, the device was designed to be an affordable solution for NexTraq customers.
