Randy Marion Automotive Group, a GM dealer operating in the 9-state Southeast Region and a GM Business Elite dealer, and VNG.CO LLC, a nationwide compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling provider, have entered into a strategic marketing agreement to support the use of light duty natural gas vehicles (NGVs) by fleet customers in coordination with VNG offering conveniently located and retail oriented CNG fueling locations.

“Many of our customers are interested in the benefits of CNG powered pickup trucks, vans, and passenger cars, but the lack of fueling stations has kept them on the sideline,” said Brad Sigmon, General Manager of fleet for Randy Marion Automotive Group. “With the benefit of VNG’s national fueling program at retail gasoline stations a major obstacle to delivering more light duty NGVs to fleet customers is being overcome.”

Natural gas vehicles can deliver as much as 40 percent in operating cost savings over gasoline powered vehicles through lower fuel cost, while also providing the benefits of lower emissions, increased corporate sustainability, and insulation from gasoline price spikes, according to the companies.

“We look forward to working with the Randy Marion team to provide their customers a fueling solution to support their use of NGVs,” said Robert Friedman, chief operating officer of VNG. “With no cost to fleets for the infrastruc¬ture, the cost-saving benefits of CNG drop right to the bottom line.”

VNG.CO fueling facilities will be available to fleet customers at existing retail-oriented gasoline stations. VNG emphasizes locations that are convenient and accessible, enabling fleets to improve productivity while enjoying a fast and familiar fueling experience. For fleets operating bi-fuel vehicles which can fuel on CNG or gasoline, drivers have access to both fuels at a single location.
