Everyone Has a Favorite Truck

What’s Your Favorite Truck? Everyone has a favorite vehicle. Be it your first truck, dream vehicle, or project car, you wouldn’t be in this industry if you didn’t have a love for four-wheeled power.

Personally, I dream of one day owning a 1935 Model 50 or Model 51 Ford Pickup. I dream of a 1-½ ton flathead V-8 engine powering it down the road, a pickup truck body, and its sweeping fenders polished to a high gloss. There is something about this classic that gets my heart rate up.

But, with the number of new truck launches recently (the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado and 2014 GMC Sierra recently revealed, the 2014 Toyota Tundra being unveiled tomorrow, Feb. 7, and more coming down the pipeline) is there something coming up you just can’t wait for?

Now that I’ve shared my dream truck with, what is yours? Do you long for the simple days of the classic vehicle, or is there a newer powerhouse you just can’t live without?

Let me know! Post your comments below, or send me an e-mail.

I'm still a fan of the classics. Love that 35 Ford. I'm a project truck guy, working on my 48 Ford F-1. I like a truck I can actually work on. Thanks for sharing.

I like trucks much better than cars. I like the 1935 Ford. I am torn on my favorites. My first favorite was a 1954 chevy 3100. I am currently working on 1958 chevy 3200 fleetside. I really like the bodystyle on a 1934 International. All that said I think I will build a peterbilt pickup.

Bill - love the project trucks, and I agree it's a bit easier to make a classic exactly what you need it to be! Dan - give me a pickup bed over a car any day! If you ever build that Peterbilt, send us some pics!

I have worked on cars and trucks since I was 8 years old. I have worked on trucks, cars and farm equipment. My most favorite out of all was the 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with a 428 cobra jet or the 429 thunder jet and the 4speed... I took care of 2 for customers and the best part was roadtesting...Now I am driving a F250 powerstroke. Funny how with a few upgrades I can get simlar performance from a 7000 lb 4X4 truck!

Still looking for the right 1956 Ford F100. Pickup or panel truck!
