Automotive services are not a new phenomenon as this circa 1918 Dodge service truck attests. The truck was operated by Peter Dziadik's Tire Shop in Peekskill, N.Y., from about 1918 to the late 1920s.

Dziadik used his truck as a rolling billboard advertising his services for the General Cord Tire, his day-and-night service availability, pre-dating today's 24/7 service availability. The vehicle is parked in front of the store front on Peekskill's North Division Street near the Eagle Market.

Work Truck eNews will be featuring historic images of fleet trucks on a regular basis. If you have an historic fleet truck image you'd like to share with readers, e-mail it to Lauren Fletcher or Chris Wolski.
