General Motors will offer its Z71 trim level with the redesigned 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs, providing greater off-road capability to the pickup trucks.

GM will provide additional details about the offering in September. The Z71 package has been offered on the Tahoe and Suburban since 2001. It was first offered as an option with the Chevrolet Silverado in 1988.

The Z71 package typically includes an off-road suspension, locking rear differential, and all-terrain tires among the enhancements. GM also added it as a choice with its new 2015 Chevrolet Colorado.
