Kenworth Names First PACCAR MX Dealer of Year Award

KIRKLAND, WA - MHC Kenworth - Kansas City was named the first recipient of the new Kenworth PACCAR MX Dealer of the Year award for the United States and Canada at the annual Kenworth Dealer Meeting held recently in Columbus. 

"We're thrilled to be the first Kenworth dealer to win this award," said Tim Murphy, CEO of MHC, which operates 43 Kenworth dealerships in 10 states, including MHC Kenworth  - Kansas City.

"We've seen a tremendous customer response to the PACCAR MX engine due to its outstanding performance in drivability and fuel economy," Murphy said. "This award represents our commitment to help customers appreciate the benefits of the MX engine and to provide them with world-class service for this world-class engine." Such support includes state-of-the-art engine diagnostics equipment, comprehensive service technician training, and excellent on-hand inventory of PACCAR MX engine parts.

"More than 20,000 trucks now operate with the PACCAR MX engine in various customer applications throughout North America," said Gary Moore, Kenworth general manager and PACCAR vice president. "MHC Kenworth - Kansas City has done an exceptional job at achieving a high rate of customer acceptance of the PACCAR MX engine while also providing excellent customer support."

The PACCAR MX engine is available with a horsepower range of 380 hp to 485 hp and torque up to 1,750 lb.-ft. on selected Kenworth Class 8 models. It is an ideal choice for Kenworth customers operating in many over-the-road, pickup and delivery, and vocational applications.
