SAN RAMON, CA - Chevron Lubricants, maker of the Delo brand of engine oils, lubricants, and coolants, awarded Sun Coast Resources, a Houston-based petroleum distributor, a new package delivery truck in acknowledgment of its strong growth in 2011. The giveaway was part of the "Chasing the Truck" promotion, which was open to Chevron lubrication distributors in the U.S. and Canada, and was designed to award outstanding growth in sales of qualifying Delo products.

Sun Coast Resources achieved the greatest cumulative volume growth of eligible Delo products over the same period in 2010. As the grand prize winner, the company received a 26ft. package delivery truck wrapped in Delo graphics. The truck is loaded with state-of the art features, including a Kenworth power unit, lift gate, and bulk dispensing equipment for lubricants and coolants products. Each product has a dedicated dispensing line which keeps products isolated and helps assure product quality and integrity. And like all other Kenworth trucks, the truck was factory filled with Delo 400 LE SAE 15W-40.

"This program was all about honoring top performing distributors, who are critical to the success of the Delo brand," commented Jim Gambill, Delo brand manager, Lubricants Marketing Americas, Chevron Products Company. "Sun Coast is a great representative of the Delo brand and a worthy recipient of this prize."

Sun Coast uses the truck to deliver bulk and package products to its lube customers. The distributor is adding an additional pump, compatible with Diesel Exhaust Fluid, allowing them to deliver their entire range of products from a single unit.

"Winning the 2011 Delo "Chasing the Truck" contest was a great reward for Sun Coast's sales force, and proof positive that establishing aggressive goals and focusing on them, can pay off in a really big way," said Kyle Lehne, Sun Coast's vice president of sales. "Selling Delo products is one of the most enjoyable parts of my job. Chevron's commitment to innovation, research and development and extensive field testing insures their Delo products stay ahead of competition, making them that much easier to sell."

Are You Tracking Your Fleet's True Total Cost of Ownership?
