IMPCO Automotive Announces New Ford Commercial Truck CNG Certifications From the EPA
SANTA ANA, CA - IMPCO Automotive announced that the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued 2011 model-year Certifications for IMPCO dedicated Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fuel Systems for the certain Ford Motor Company vehicles.
SANTA ANA, CA - IMPCO Automotive, a business unit of Fuel System Solutions, Inc., and a designer, manufacturer and supplier of proven, cost-effective alternative fuel components and systems for use in transportation applications, announced that the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued 2011 model-year Certifications for IMPCO dedicated Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fuel Systems for the following Ford Motor Company vehicles:
-- Ford 5.4 Liter V8 engine in the Ford E-150, 250 & 350 Platform
-- Ford 6.8 Liter V10 2v engine in the Ford E-450 Platform
-- Ford 6.8 Liter V10 3v engine in the Ford F450, 550 Super Duty Truck
Platform
-- Ford 6.2 Liter V8 engine in the Ford F-250, 350 Super Duty Truck
Platform
-- Ford 2.0 Liter I4 engine in the Ford Transit Connect Van
EPA Certification for these Ford products adds significant depth to IMPCO Automotives product offering on Ford platforms, from small displacement 4 cylinder vans to Ford's new 6.2 Liter V8 Super Duty Line of trucks. IMPCO Automotive has also received approval by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) for the 6.8 Liter V10 engines in both the 2 valve and 3 valve configurations. CARB approvals for other Ford engines are expected soon.
