INDIANAPOLIS - Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC introduced its Ride-Rite air helper spring kits for a range of commercial Ford applications, including the 2008-current Ford E-150 (not extended van), the 2009-current Ford E-150 (extended van) and the Ford Transit Connect.

Ride-Rite air helper springs are designed to complement the payload capacity of the Ford vans by using air pressure to increase vehicle stability, reduce tire wear, and maintain brake effectiveness. Firestone's durable springs help compensate for varying road conditions to assist in maximizing the vehicle's safe load-carrying capacity, stability and ride quality.

"An additional benefit to our high-quality air helper springs is their ability to level off-center loads by using individual inflation valves for separate side-to-side adjustment, allowing drivers to modify the springs according to the specific amount of cargo they're carrying," said Todd Green, regional sales manager, Firestone Industrial Products, Ride-Rite division.

Firestone's Ride-Rite air helper spring kits come with a two-year limited warranty and include everything needed for installation, which typically takes between one and two hours.  The system's reinforced double convoluted air springs install between the frame and the axle.

A pair of Ride-Rite air springs can provide up to 5,000 pounds of load leveling capacity. (Note: Air springs do not increase the load-carrying capacity of the vehicle. Do not exceed the vehicle's recommended Gross Vehicle Weight Rating [GVWR]).

Firestone also offers Air-Rite air accessory systems to complement the new Ride-Rite kits, which enables drivers to make air pressure adjustments with a push of a button installed on the dashboard.

Trained technicians are available toll-free (800.888.0650) to answer any product application, installation or warranty questions Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. EST.

Ride-Rite air helper springs are part of Firestone's Complete Suspension Solutions, which also offer Sport-Rite, Coil-Rite, and Level-Rite air helper springs. These products have become synonymous with quality, durability and outstanding customer support.  For more information, visit www.ride-rite.com.

See how your peers are managing costs today and where the industry still has room to improve.
