Telematics Data Standard Released
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO - The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) has been working with OEMs to write the telematics data standard. Participating OEMs could begin supporting delivery of data using the standard format by October 2010.
GLENWOOD SPRINGS, CO- The Association of Equipment Management Professionals (AEMP) has been working with OEMs to write the telematics data standard, which will allow delivery of basic telematics data to end-user databases. Participating OEMs could begin supporting delivery of data using the standard format by October 2010.

Developed in conjunction with McFadyen & Associates, Caterpillar, Trimble, John Deere, Volvo Construction Equipment , and Komatsu, the standard provides basic machine data, such as cumulative operating hours, cumulative miles traveled (for vehicles), cumulative fuel consumed (where supported), and current location in a common xml document.
